"Hypertext Syntagmas: Cinematic Narration with Links" is a multilinear academic hypertext essay. The main site navigation appears only on the main page or lexia of the site in the Contents area on the right side of the screen capture below. Miles's first link in the Contents area is "an introduction," suggesting a starting point to the essay. But any linear progression through the essay is immediately disrupted by the second link entitled, "an end."
